Norwegian violinist Viktor Stenhjem is a full time member of Münchener Kammerorchester. He graduated from Universität Mozarteum in 2015 having studied with Igor Ozim and Reinhard Goebel, and from the class of David Takeno at the Guildhall School of Music in 2013. He also held a fellowship at the Guildhall School with Louise Hopkins.
Viktor has received musical guidance in Masterclasses for Ana Chumachenco, Andras Keller, Leonidas Kavakos and Eric Höbarth. He has performed as soloist with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, Studentersamfundets Symfoniorkester and the Trondheim Junior Soloists on several occasions. A passionate Chamber musician, he was the second violinist of the Swiss Gémeaux Quartet, and has in the past held recitals in the Barbican Hall, Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music and the City of London Festival leading various Chamber ensembles. Viktor has been concertmaster of the Verbier Festival Orchestra, and co-lead the Amsterdam Sinfonietta for their European Tour 2013. He has also given a recital for the Norwegian Royal Family as well as a solo recital at the Winter Festival in Røros, Norway. As a violinist with the Trondheim Soloists, he made several recordings with Anne-Sophie Mutter amongst others. Viktor was a finalist of the Princess Astrid Competition 2012, and received 2nd Prize in the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition 2013 with the Idomeneo String Quartet. Viktor is also a former member of the LSO String Scheme which included projects with Sir Colin Davis.
